Miami Fort Trail Stiltgrass Pull-o-thon at Shawnee Lookout
Shawnee Lookout needs help in pulling invasive Japanese stiltgrass along the Miami Fort Trail. Running buffalo clover is a rare native plant species with a thriving population along the Miami Fort Trail. To manage the clover, we need to remove invasive competitors, such as Japanese stiltgrass, by using a combination of pulling, mowing, and treating, so that we give the running buffalo clover the best chance to thrive along the trail. This event runs from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Additional requirements include walking long distances, uneven terrain, standing for long periods, bending, and kneeling may be required.
