There is an entire world beneath our feet, so grab your spelunking gear to find out what kinds of critters can call a cave a castle! From dirt and dung to sewers and sinkholes, these are the underground allies we’ve come to respect.

Have your kids go on an exciting adventure by exploring the creek. They’ll also discover how scientists measure stream health and get an up-close look at fascinating organisms that thrive in clean, healthy water.

The international Junior Master Gardener program is back at Great Parks! Budding gardeners, ages 7-10, are invited to enroll for this course. We’ll dig deep into native plants, homegrown foods and the science of all things gardening. Each gardener that attends the full course will be granted their Level 1 Junior Master Gardener Certification. Classes run the first three Thursdays of the month, Oct. 3-May 15.
