Paddle Sports

Learn to kayak on flatwater from our American Canoe Association instructors. This class is designed for beginners with a focus on basic safety, gear and paddling techniques. All equipment provided. Participants must fit properly in provided lifejackets and not exceed 275-pound kayak capacity.

Ever been frustrated while canoeing with your partner and ended up arguing or flipping the boat? Join an American Canoe Association (ACA) certified instructor and fellow canoeists as we practice techniques that are sure to aid in maneuvering with style while building confidence. Have you ever paddled … while standing up? Our certified American Canoe Association stand-up paddleboard instructors are hosting classes for beginners. Learn about safety, gear, and techniques to stay on your board while maneuvering on flatwater. All equipment is provided. Participants must properly fit in provided lifejackets and not exceed the 250-pound board capacity. Register by two days in advance.

Advance your paddling skills with essential information and in-water rescue experience. Learn simple rescue techniques and practice self-rescue to help make every day on the water safe and enjoyable. These classes are taught by an American Canoe Association (ACA) certified instructor. All equipment is provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Interested in enjoying the river in a kayak? Join our American Canoe Association-certified instructors on one of our scenic local rivers for a day of introductory paddling skills in a river-specific kayak. By the end of this trip, you will eddy turn and peel out like a pro! Children must be accompanied by an adult.
