Fairy Tale Festival

Enjoy an afternoon frolicking in the Highfield Discovery Garden as your favorite fairy tales come to life! Create your own magical crafts, strike a bargain at the fairy trading post, enjoy a Madcap Puppets show, meet strolling fairies, wizards, and knights, and so much more. As you wind through garden, stop by vendor booths to purchase your own fairy adornments or grab a bite to eat at a local food truck.

Kids Outdoor Adventure Expo

Date: July 14 Time: 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Location: Winton Woods Harbor

Head to Winton Harbor for the largest free outdoor environmental education event for children in the Midwest! This unique opportunity will pique kids’ interest in the great outdoors and recreational activities. Come out and discover more than 30 exhibitors and interactive activities.

Bike Rodeo

Location: Sharon Woods/Sharon Centre Parking Area

Come meet the Great Parks Rangers and learn about bike safety for a wheelie exciting afternoon! Kids ages 4–12 and their families will enjoy fun activities, education stations, and a ride around the trail. Kids must bring their own bikes. There will be a helmet giveaway while supplies last!

Burgers & Brews

Date: Select Fridays Time: 6 - 9 p.m.
Location: Lake Isabella

Join us this summer for live music and grill outs on the deck of Lake Isabella's Boathouse!

Enjoy the fun atmosphere, peaceful views of the lake, and live music for free. Burgers, hot dogs, and refreshing beverages will be available for guests to purchase.

Nationally recognized mixologist and Cincinnati local Molly Wellmann will be showing guests the proper way to taste and appreciate four bourbons from the tri-state! Enjoy a variety of light bites while Molly speaks about the history behind each bourbon and their local connections. A Great Parks Interpreter will also be demonstrating how to use common garden herbs to enhance your at-home bourbon cocktails. This is sure to be an unforgettable evening, so grab your tickets before they’re gone!

Protect Your Wild: Earth Day Celebration

Date: April 22 Time: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Great Parks, in proud partnership with Yelp, presents the inaugural year of Protect Your Wild, a day of volunteering, eco-education, and family-friendly fun! Our Earth Day Celebration will begin at 11 a.m. and will feature booths from environmental groups, local vendors selling sustainable or homemade products, food trucks, craft beer from HighGrain Brewing, live music, Madcap Puppets' performance of "When You Wish Upon a Fish", games, and more!

Barks and Brews

Gussy up your pups and bring them out to Simmonds Family Dog Park for Great Parks' third annual Barks and Brews event! Let your furry friends enjoy the wide-open space and agility courses at the park while you hoomans shop local pet-centric vendors, speak with pet exhibitors, grab lunch from our food trucks, and, of course, sip on a cold craft beer.
