Booking

Horse Day Camps

Registration for 2020 day camps opens on January 7, 2020.

All camps are drop-off, no more than 10 minutes before camp begins or after camp ends. Refunds will be issued for day camp cancellations when written notice is given at least 30 days prior to the start of camp. Extenuating circumstances will be taken into consideration.

Horse Day Camps

Spring Break Horse Camp

Ages: 7–14
Price: $250
Location: Winton Woods/Riding Center

Dates: 
March 30-April 1, 9 a.m.–4 p.m
April 6-8, 9 a.m.–4 p.m

Winton Woods Riding Center spring break horse camps are Tuesday-Thursday, full-day camps. Topics covered include horse safety, breeds, grooming and riding. This camp is suitable for beginners to advanced beginner level riders. Registrations accepted on a first-come-first-served basis until camps fill and/or begin.

Summer Horse Camp

Ages: 7–14
Price: $335
Location: Winton Woods/Riding Center

Dates: 

Session 1 June 1–4, 9 a.m.–4 p.m
Session 2 June 7–10, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Session 3 June 14–17, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Session 4 June 28–July 1, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Session 5 July 12–15, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Session 6 July 19–22, 9 a.m.–4 p.m

Session 7 August 2–5, 9 a.m.–4 p.m

 

Winton Woods Riding Center summer horse camps are Monday-Thursday (except the first week which is Tuesday-Friday), full-day camps. Topics covered include horse safety, breeds, grooming and riding. This camp is suitable for beginners to intermediate level riders. Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis until camps fill and/or begin.

Advanced Summer Horse Camp

Ages: 8–17
Price: $335
Location: Winton Woods Riding Center

Dates: 
June 21–24, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

OR

July 26–29, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

To qualify for this Advanced Camp, riders must have achieved at least Novice level in lessons OR have attended at least four prior horse camps. Topics covered include horse safety, breeds, colors and markings, grooming, tacking and a variety of riding styles. Camp is Monday-Thursday, full-day (9 a.m.–4 p.m.).

Hunt Seat Bootcamp

Ages: 11 & up
Price: $400
Location: Winton Woods/Riding Center

Dates: July 5-9, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

This camp is designed for serious riders who are part of an Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) team or who are collegiate Hunt Seat (IHSA) bound. Riders participating in this camp should have an intermediate or better level of riding proficiency with experience in the Hunt Seat/Hunter Jumper style. Campers will receive intensive under saddle coaching, with a focus on proper equitation, excellent sportsmanship and horsemanship. There will be no lack of fun along the way, but campers will leave polished and ready for their next show.
