Operation Outdoors: Once Upon an Ohio...

Calling all future archeologists and paleontologists: grab a treasure map and get ready for a time-traveling adventure where secrets lie below the surface! Campers unearth Ohio’s past on a hunt for Ordovician fossils and ancient artifacts, such as pottery and atlatls, in our mock dig pits. From prehistoric plants to traditional pastimes like lacrosse, campers learn the handicraft histories and mammoth-sized mysteries behind the land we now call Ohio.

Operation Outdoors: Inventor Expedition!

Grab your gadgets and roll out the blueprints—the next wild idea is waiting in the woods! With the forest as their workshop, campers test their tinker talents through wacky design challenges, team-building activities and fast-paced problem solving. Inspired by nature, campers create their own fishing poles, invent and test miniature boat models and construct natural shelters.

Tabletop fantasy adventure meets the great outdoors! Campers play through a D&D journey, exploring a fantastical world and protecting its wildlife. Between game sessions, campers explore the park and learn outdoors skills inspired by their characters' survival techniques.

During this trailblazing week, your camper joins a squad of bold explorers for historic undertakings and wild nature quests! Campers lace up their boots and travel from park to park in search of new experiences, from throwing tomahawks and discovering ancient earthworks to finding Great Parks' biggest tree.

Magic is real—you just have to know where to look! Campers enter the creative world of fairytales by climbing to the treetops for a giant’s-eye view, setting sail with pedal boats on the shimmering lake, embarking on epic trail quests and tiptoeing through secret-filled creeks. Along the way, campers meet the forest’s colorful characters, solve riddles and discover legendary myths!

A nature adventure awaits! Each day campers immerse themselves in the outdoors while roaming forests, fields and creeks. Along the way, campers meet animal ambassadors, get creative, make messes and encounter wildlife!

Operation Outdoors: H2Woah!

From creek to cup, discover the wonders of water and go with the flow! Campers splash through creeks, cast fishing lines and glide across the lake in canoes and pedal boats. When on land, campers roll up their sleeves and dip into the science of aquatic life with animal encounters, hands-on experiments and some water games.
